Mount Rainier can be seen behind the Seattle skyline and the Space Needle at sunset.

THE LOCATION: Kerry Park, Seattle, Wash.

GPS: 47°37'46.3401" N 122°21'37.8227" W

THE EQUIPMENT: Canon EOS 5D Mark IV | Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM | Peak Design Travel Tripod aluminum

THE STORY: If you're in Seattle and the sky gods generously give you an unobstructed view of Mount Rainier's snowy crown, get yourself to Kerry Park.

Sure, you'll have to share the view with about five dozen tourists showing off their easy-to-use camera phones, but find a spot along the fence, and just marvel at how the light of sunset plays with the Emerald City's gorgeous skyline and colors the shadowy snows of Mount Rainier in the distance.

IF YOU GO: Kerry Park
